Here are the top three stories in Portland today:

  1. Chick-fil-A is looking to return to Portland at the current site of The Venue Gentleman's Club. The fast food chain, famous for its fried chicken sandwiches, closed its Lloyd Center location in 2023, which left Portland without a Chick-fil-A franchise. The new location's permit is currently pending and currently does not include plans for a drive-thru. (OregonLive)
  2. Oregon Republican lawmakers staged a walk-out protest during Wednesday's floor session. The Senate Republican Office issued a release about the walkout, citing a lack of transparency and accountability for several new bills, and Senate Republicans claim that the bills are against Oregon law and too difficult for most Oregonians to understand. 3. Several local meteorologists pointed out a rare cloud formation over the city of Portland yesterday morning. The rare wave-like clouds, called Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds, are considered rarely visible in the Pacific Northwest and form with a series of conditions that are perfect; when they do form, they typically last only minutes.
