'David Bowie Revival' Among Oregon Symphony's Fall Lineup

Entering its 120th season, The Oregon Symphony is reviving a legend on September 29.

The Oregon Symphony is entering into its 120th season, making it the oldest symphony west of the Mississippi river. Their fall lineup includes a David Bowie revival, during which the orchestra will be accompanied by a full rock band and a vocalist. What else do you need?

And we love making all sorts of music, from classical to rock. With over 90 performances of 50 separate concert programs, our season literally has something for everyone. Brent Havens, a Berklee-graduate whose resume ranges in style and scope. Havens has worked with the Doobie Brothers, scored background music for ESPN and has experience with other symphony orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic in London, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Malaysian Philharmonic.

Tony Vincent, an accomplished vocalist out of New Mexico. who earned the respect of critics and musical theater fans alike for his role as Judas Iscariot in the remake of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Super Star (2000). In the Fall of 2009, Vincent returned to Broadway, originating the role of St. Jimmy in Green Day's American Idiot.
