Dawson Park Shooting Leads To Discovery Of Portland 21st Homicide

Portland police responded to Dawson Park Tuesday afternoon where they found a man, dead in the street.

PORTLAND, OR — Police were called to the area by Dawson Park early Tuesday afternoon. Callers to 911 reported hearing shots fired on Stanton Street on the park's south side.

There they found a man dead in the street, lying next to a black Range Rover.

Police quickly cordoned off the area with crime scene tape.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is the city's 21st homicide of the year. Twenty of those people were shot.
