Dead Baby Boy Found With Mom at Portland Bus Stop Was 'Ice Cold': Reports
Though witnesses described the child as "ice cold," the coroner ruled that his death was not due to exposure.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Those at a Southeast Portland bus stop last week where a mother was found with her stillborn baby told police the baby was ice cold, according to reports.
The boy and his mother, who was suffering from mental illness, were rushed to a hospital last Tuesday, said an Oregon Live report citing police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
"An autopsy completed Jan. 11 by Dr. Karen Gunson, the Oregon state medical examiner, found the cause of death was stillbirth, said Tom Chappelle, investigator for the Multnomah County Medical Examiner," the article indicates. " ... Four other people, all adults, have died this year of exposure in Portland, but that doesn't appear to be the case with the baby."
