Deadly Hit And Run Crash Snarls Traffic, Second Crash In 36 Hours

A person found dead in the street was likely killed by a car or other vehicle that didn't stop. Police are asking for help.

PORTLAND, OR — If anyone was around Northwest Yeon Road between 29th and 35th Avenues early Wednesday morning, police would like to hear from you. Around 3:30 a.m., they found a person dead in the street, the apparent victim of a hit and run.

Portland Police say that the person was dead in the street when they got there.

The investigation closed Yeon (Hwy 30) for hours.

Police did not give out a description of a car and driver and hope that someone will come forward with information.

It was the second serious hit and run in Portland in less than 36 hours.

On Monday night, a steel blue 2012 Ford Fusion struck a person crossing by North Columbia Blvd. and North Clarendon Ave.

That person is in critical condition at a hospital.
