Early Morning North Portland Shooting Leaves One Person Dead

One person said to be involved in the shooting remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

PORTLAND, OR —Just after midnight on Wednesday morning, police arrived by the intersection of North Mohawk Avenue and North Fessenden Street. People had called 911, reporting that shots had been fired.

Officers got there and found a man dead. He had been shot.

Also there was a person who told officers that they'd been involved in the shooting.

That person is cooperating.

Police say that there are not looking for anyone else and there is no threat the community.
