Firefighters Rescue Ducklings, Reunite Them With Mother And Siblings
Portland firefighters responded to a call from a jogger who noticed that three ducklings had fallen down a storm drain.

Three little ducklings learned it the hard way Sunday, according to Portland Fire & Rescue, which told the following story.
A woman was jogging in the sunny, warm weather along Southwest Macadam Avenue when she noticed a mother duck and eight ducklings standing on the side of the road, seemingly focused on a storm drain.

She walked over and noticed that three little ducklings had fallen down the drain.
The jogger called the city's nonemergency line.

Truck 4 arrived, and firefighters were able to remove the storm grate, rescue the ducklings and reunite them with their mom and siblings.
The duck family then waddled off on their way.
