First Annual Charity Tennis Tournament serving Portland

Nonprofit founder hosting inaugural Rose City Classic Tennis Tournament in Portland June 3rd!

(Rose City Classic | Kelly Johnson Foundation)

Nonprofit founder Kelly Johnson, really enjoys making a difference in the community -- as she started her own nonprofit, the Kelly Johnson Foundation (KJF) in 2014. With her background in coaching college tennis and competing, she began hosting tennis tournaments to raise money for her nonprofit and its Johnson Family Scholarship Program, which benefits local high schools across the United States. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 2021, she recently got involved on-court and wants to serve the tennis community! This year, the 1st Annual Rose City Classic Tennis Tournament will be hosted at Washington Park in Portland on Saturday, June 3rd.

"The main goal of hosting this inaugural tennis tournament is to get as much of the community involved, provide a Rose City Festival event in the Portland area, and promote awareness of our nonprofit and our mission! The Rose City Classic gives the opportunity for Portland residents, family and friends to participate in a family fun tennis event!" said Kelly Johnson, event director of the Rose City Classic.

So mark your calendars...
