'Goosebumps' Musical Premieres at Oregon Children's Theatre
The Oregon Children's Theatre hosts world premiere 'Goosebumps' the Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium' on October 22.

The Oregon Children's Theatre is premiering 'Goosebumps: Phantom of the Auditorium' on October 22. The show runs roughly 70 minutes, and tickets range in price from $14-$32. Unless you're a first timer/first Saturday attendee, in which tickets are only a cool $5.
The director of this spooky new musical, Stan Foote, talks about his experiences casting this show, and how he would like to see his vision develop by the 22nd.
"I love working on new plays, because the artistic team gets to create a world on stage that has never been created before. All of the elements; set, costumes, props, staging, style, and choreography, are shaped by the writing and music only. To be the first to put together this puzzle is exciting," Stan Foote, OCTC
If you're in the mood to have your entire extended family join, keep Grandparent Day in mind. Tickets are $11-25.

"Eric Nordin, the Goosebumps Musical Director, cited the influences of composers Alan Menkin (Little Shop of Horrors), Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera), and Danny Elfman (Edward Scissorhands). It is a mix of Pop and Broadway. There are even some percussion elements that remind me of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep," said Foote
When asked what he's looking for in the young actors he is hoping to cast, Foote commented on the benefits of training with OCT
"The training for young performers in Portland is amazing. Many of the youth in the cast come from OCT’s Young Professional Company. I look for young actors who are natural/honest onstage and professional on and off stage," said Foote
