Man Jumps Off Burnside Bridge In Apparent Suicide: Police

PORTLAND, OR — Portland Police say a man jumped off Burnside Bridge Wednesday and died when he landed on the concrete below. Just before 1 p.m., officers responded to a report that a man had jumped. When they got there, they found him on a bridge piling below the south side of the bridge, according to a press release.

One lane of traffic is affected while the investigation is completed. Preliminary information indicates this is a suicide.
