WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR — A man who authorities say overdosed as he left the scene of a hit-and-run accident was revived by deputies after a K-9 team tracked him down, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
On Friday, deputies responded to a hit-and-run near Southwest 185th Avenue and Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway. When they arrived, authorities learned a red sedan had rear-ended another vehicle and fled after both cars pulled into a nearby parking lot.
According to authorities, witnesses saw the driver of the red sedan swallow several pills before driving away.

Believing the man may have ingested fentanyl or another opiate, deputies administered Narcan, a drug used for the emergency treatment of a narcotic overdose. After a short time, the man regained consciousness, authorities said.
The man was taken to the hospital for additional treatment, police said. He was cited for failure to perform duties of a driver when property is damaged, criminal mischief in the second degree and trespass in the second degree.
