Michael Olson Homicide Unsolved After 7 years, Police Ask Help
Michael Olson was shot and killed 7 years ago tonight. Police are again asking for help in solving the crime.

PORTLAND, OR—It's Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Michael Olson is texting with his mother. His parents had just moved into a new house in Florida. He was excited to fly down and spend a week with them. His mom told him that when he arrived on Sunday, she'd make use his grandmother's meatball recipe to make dinner. That and rhubarb pie.
She'd never get that chance because around 11:00 p.m. that night, Olson was walking on Southeast 52nd Avenue when someone shot him in the head. He was 30 and died immediately.
Police believe it was a robbery.
