Missing Portland Woman Hasn't Been Seen Since Tuesday Afternoon

Police say that Cheryl Wainright has a traumatic brain injury and cannot care for herself.

PORTLAND, OR — The woman in the photo is Cheryl Wainright. she is 64-years-old, is about 5'7" and 130 pounds. She also a traumatic brain injury, cannot care for herself, and has not been seen since she walked away from her home in the Centennial neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say that she has no phone and probably doesn't have any money.

She is familiar with TriMet.

Wainright has salt and pepper hair and a distinctive scar on her forehead.

She's been known to be talkative and has apparently, wandered away before. Police say that previously she has been able to provide her name and the name and contact information for relatives.

Police ask that if anyone sees her, to please call 911. If anyone has other information about this case, e-mail the Missing Persons Unit at missing@portlandoregon.gov. The case number is 22-43442.
