DoveLewis: DoveLewis is the Northwest's only nonprofit, 24 hour emergency animal hospital and intensive care unity. We strive to offer top quality, compassionate care for local animals and the animal-loving community.

DoveLewis: DoveLewis offers several donor-funded programs that benefit the community, including an animal blood bank, a nationally recognized pet loss support program, an animal-assisted therapy program, education for veterinary professionals and the animal-loving community, 24-hour stabilizing care for lost, stray and wild animals, and financial assistance for qualifying low-income families and abused animals.

Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?

DoveLewis: Currently we are dealing with the rising costs of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. We are also developing new strategies for recruiting in the declining talent pool of certified technicians.

Patch: What do you hope for the future of you nonprofit?

DoveLewis: We hope to continue having a global influence on the emergency and specialty veterinary profession through innovative models of care and education.
