Patch: Tell Patch a little bit about your organization!

My Voice Music: My Voice Music is a nonprofit organization based in Portland Oregon that engages youth facing difficult circumstances in music and performance in order to promote self-esteem, social skills and emotional expression.

Patch: How does your organization help to strengthen the local community?

My Voice Music: My Voice Music provides youth with engaging, relevant, and challenging experiences in music in order to promote the development of social and emotional skills. Anchored on a belief in the power of music, relationship, and story, we are guided by thoughtful resource stewardship and a deep commitment to education through experience.

Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?

My Voice Music: Outreach (bringing new students into the fold).

Patch: What do you hope for the future of your nonprofit?

My Voice Music: Continued growth and outreach within the greater Portland community and expansion of services offered.
