Simone: 2006
Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?
Simone: Food insecurity rates! One in four kids and one in six Oregonians struggle to food on the table—because families don't make enough money to support basic needs like food.
Patch: What do you hope for the future of your nonprofit?
Simone: We hope that we can build the anti-hunger movement in Oregon, increase our impacts on disproportionately affected communities, and include the input and voices of people who have experiences with hunger. Also we hope to become the first state in the nation to end hunger!
