Patch talks to Rise Up International about it's different artistic ventures in the Bend area.

Patch: Tell Patch a little bit about your organization!

Rise Up: Rise Up works locally and internationally. We are a collective of musicians, filmmakers, and artists that seek to give people a creative voice through the arts. We believe music, art, and creativity can be healing forces for good.

Patch: How does your organization help to strengthen the local community?

Rise Up: Rise Up helps strengthen our local community through music and arts education programs. We host a free community festival each year called Bend Roots Revival. The festival celebrates our local music scene and features over 100 bands. Many of the bands are local and several members of the groups teach in our programs.

Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?

Rise Up: Like many charitable organizations we seek to build greater sustainability.

Patch: What do you hope for the future of your nonprofit?

Rise Up: Our vision is to improve the quality of our programs, add amazing teachers, extend educational programs to under served populations, expand our international projects, and increase the peace!
