Patch: Tell Patch a little bit about your organization!

St. Johns Food Share: We are a gleaner/co-op. Totally run by volunteers with no paid staff, we glean from local stores, food service vendors as well as backyard and community gardens and small farms. We have a $30 membership fee that is strictly for operating expenses. Members are part owners and shop twice a week (there is no limit on the number of pounds a member can take) and volunteer a minimum of 8 hours a month. We offer fresh produce, bread & baked goods, frozen vegetables, protein and dairy products. Members shop only for foods they can use. Everyone is welcome. There are no residence restrictions.
