  1. A nonprofit organization called New Narrative has opened a new housing complex called the Douglas Fir in southeast Portland. The complex will provide housing for veterans and individuals facing mental health challenges. The apartments offer on-site clinical, residential, and property management teams, and tenants can apply through referral programs. (KOIN.com)
  2. La Hacienda, an affordable apartment complex in Southeast Portland, has seen most of its residents leave, but a few struggling tenants remain. Relay Resources, the nonprofit that runs the complex, claims to have assisted some tenants in finding alternative housing within their budget, but some disagree. With time running out, the remaining tenants fear that they may end up without housing or in even worse living conditions. (KGW.com)
  3. Beaverton resident Alma Raven-Guido, 20, was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $50,000 in restitution for arson and riot charges. Raven-Guido pleaded guilty to arson charges in connection to a fire that damaged the Portland Police Association building. He also admitted to participating in a riot and obstructing traffic in August 2020. (Fox 12 Oregon)
