Old Town Crash Sends Cabbie To Hospital In Critical Condition

An early morning two-car crash on Thursday sent a cabbie to a hospital in critical condition. the other driver was not seriously injured.

PORTLAND, OR — A cabbie is in critical condition after an early morning crash on Thursday. It happened around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest Everett Street and 2nd Avenue.

The second driver, a woman who was alone in her car, remained at the scene and was not seriously injured. She was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

The taxi driver did not have any passengers at the time.

The police bureau's Major Crash Team is leading the investigation. They ask that anyone who might have seen the crash or has information about the it to contact crimetips@portlandoregon.gov , attention Traffic Investigations Unit, and reference case number 22-64703, or call (503)823-2103.

Everett was closed between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue and 2nd was closed between Davis and Flanders.
