Oregon Humane Society Gears Up For Doggie Dash 2018

Celebrating 150 years in Portland, the Oregon Humane Society's annual Doggie Dash fun run is May 12. Register for free before April 15.

PORTLAND, OR — The Oregon Humane Society is offering just a few more days of free registration for the annual Doggie Dash fun run in May. After April 15, registration will cost $50.

The Oregon Humane Society (OHS) waived early registration for this year's Doggie Dash as part of its 150-year anniversary celebration. Founded in 1868, OHS — a no-kill animal shelter and adoption organization — has saved the lives of myriad animals in Portland and the surrounding area since its creation.

This year's Doggie Dash at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland May 12 honors that legacy.

Promoted as a fundraiser for OHS, the Doggie Dash helps the organization continue its mission to "fight animal cruelty, heal injured pets, and find homes for pets who have run out of options," according to the OHS website.
