- The Portland International Airport will become the second airport in the world to partner with GoodMaps, the company behind an app that makes airports accessible to people who are blind, deaf, or neurodiverse. GoodMaps Explore is an app that uses mapping technology and predictive artificial intelligence to guide users to precise locations of essential airport services, such as bathrooms, restaurants, stores, baggage claims, and more. - All domestic flights were grounded for several hours Wednesday morning at the Portland International Airport and other airports across the country due to a computer system outage. The outage affected a system used by the Federal Aviation Administration. On Wednesday morning, 45 flights were delayed out of the Portland airport, and eleven were canceled. Flights resumed late Wednesday morning. (KOIN.com)
- Guillermo del Toro's stop-motion take on Pinnochio, filmed in Portland during the pandemic, took the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film on Wednesday night. Portland animator Mark Gustafson directed the movie alongside del Toro at the on-set location in Portland. (OregonLive)
