Portland-Area Morning Snow Brings Crashes And School Delays
Several school districts had two hour delays or closed while police and ODOT workers responded to reports of crashes around the region.

PORTLAND, OR — It was certainly not the heaviest snowfall the area has seen by any stretch but enough of the stuff fell early Thursday morning to wreak a bit of havoc. Wrecks and school delays were reported throughout the metro region.
And while it should start clearing in early afternoon, as much as an inch should fall on parts of the valley floor. And with cold weather hanging around, there could be frozen spots that would make driving difficult.
The crashes included two on I-84, one westbound and one eastbound, there was one on northbound I-5 that caused backups for hours.
