Portland Firefighters Battle 'Tough Conditions' to Squelch Sunday Attic Blaze
At least one person was injured in a Portland fire Sunday evening.

Portland firefighters overcame what they called "tough, cold conditions" Sunday evening to snuff out house fire on the city's northeast side in which at least one occupant was minorly injured.
Crews were at the scene of the blaze in the 4400 block of NE 79th Ave. around 4:40 p.m., according to Twitter updates from Portland Fire and Rescue. They vented the roof of the single-story home to prevent flames from moving beyond the attic area where they were initially found.
Officials posted an update around 5 p.m. advising residents to avoid the area due to traffic disruptions. They also said that one person had suffered an injury to his or her hand.
