Portland Homicide Gets Weekend Off To A Violent Start, Police Say
Portland police said that a man was shot to death by Southeast 136th Ave. and Southeast Powell Blvd just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

PORTLAND, OR — A man was shot to death just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, according to Portland police. Officers said that it happened at 136th Ave. and Southeast Powell Blvd.
Calls to 911 said that there had been a shooting.
Detectives arrived and found the victim, according police. A medical crew arrived and tried to revive the man but it was too late.

Police have not released any information about the victim or about who might have shot him or why.
