Shooting Outside Portland Convenience Store Wounds Woman In Leg

PORTLAND, OR — A woman was shot in the leg early Tuesday while standing in the parking lot of a convenience store by Southeast 122nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard, police reported.

Police said they received 911 calls from people who said they had heard gunshots around 4:30 a.m.

Officers said they found the woman on the ground and that she was alert and breathing normally. She was taken to a hospital and was expected to recover, police said.

Police have not identified the woman or provided information about a possible suspect.

Holgate was closed several hours.
