  1. On Sunday morning, Portland city laborers celebrated the end of a strike and the start of a new deal with the city. During a Sunday announcement, the City of Portland and Portland City Laborers shared that they have tentatively agreed — until approved by Portland City Council — to a new collective bargaining agreement. No details have been released regarding the contract, as of Sunday morning. (KOBI 5)
  2. On Sunday afternoon, a man was shot in broad daylight in SW Portland, according to authorities. The shooting occurred at around 1:00 p.m. near Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest Morrison Street. The man was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect information has been released. (KOIN)
  3. Oregon electric co-op workers have volunteered to help power a Guatemalan village next month. The Oregon Rural Electric Cooperative Association will be sending 12 volunteers to install four miles of power lines and wire homes in Ventura, a small village near Jalapa. The newly installed powerlines will power roughly 35 homes. (KOIN)
