PORTLAND, OR —It won't be open until next summer but the Congressman Earl Blumenauer Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge will take a major step toward completion this weekend. The bridge will be set into place above Sullivan's Gulch.

The 450,000 pound, 400-foot long bridge will be attached to a temporary tower between I-84 and the railroad tracks.

Portland Bureau of Transportation says that this means that they will have to close 84 east of I-5 for the weekend.
