PORTLAND, OR — You may be dreaming of a white Christmas but you should probably forget about that. Now a white day after Christmas... you may be on to something there.

The National Weather Service's Portland office released a weekend forecast that shows it's going to be getting colder than they originally anticipated.

The only problem? The cold front doesn't move until Sunday. And since northwest Oregon has what can charitably be called "the damp season," what would was expected to be rain could now be snow.

As you can see from the map from the National Weather Service, the chances are not great.

Hillsboro has a 7 percent chance of snow. Portland is all the way up there with an 11 percent chance of snow.

But some chance is better than no chance, right?

Things will warm back up on Wednesday. The good news is that we are expected to have dry weather through New Year's.
