Portland Public Schools: 5 More Go Remote, 2 Returning In Person
The omicron-driven surge continues playing havoc with the schedule for Portland Public Schools.

PORTLAND, OR — The omicron-driven COVID-19 surge continues pushing Portland Public Schools onto unsettled ground. The district is putting five more schools into distance learning while returning two others to in-person learning.
Cleveland and McDaniel High Schools, which spent this week in remote learning will bring students back starting Tuesday, January 18.
Meanwhile, Alliance and Franklin High Schools, George Middle School, Harriet Tubman Middle School, and Kellogg Middle School will switch to remote learning on January 18 and stay through at least the 21st.

Additionally, Roosevelt High School, Ockley Green Middle School, and Faubion PK-8, whose students have been in remote learning, will have that extended through January 21.
Overall, 11 of the district's 81 schools have been affected by CVID-related closures.
