Shooting Victim Identified As 26-Year-Old Portland Woman
The woman died after being shot at Wallace Park last week, according to police.

PORTLAND, OR — Police have identified the victim of last weekend’s fatal shooting at Wallace Park in Northwest Portland as 26-year-old Erika Carolina Walker Evans.
Police found Evans around 11:15 p.m. Saturday after getting a call regarding the shooting, according to a statement from the Portland Police Bureau.
"Officers arrived to find an adult female who was shot," a news release from the agency said. "The female was being treated by paramedics but died prior to being transported."

Police said they are investigating the woman's death as a homicide. As of Wednesday afternoon, no suspects had been arrested in connection with the case.
"Ms. Evans' family has been notified of her death, and they have provided the attached picture for public release," the release added. "The family is requesting privacy during this time."
