PORTLAND, OR — A man was found dead in a car early Friday morning by the South Waterfront neighborhood, Portland police said.

Police went to the 2100 block of South River Parkway around 3:20 a.m. after calls to 911 reported shots being fired. When police arrived, they found the man in the car.

Police have not said whether he was shot, only that the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The man's name and age have also not been released.
