Southeast Powell House Destroyed By Fire Early Sunday Morning
Portland Fire & Rescue say that they were called around 2:30 on Sunday morning and found a house at 28 and Powell engulfed in flame.
PORTLAND, OR — The house was a total loss. Portland Fire & Rescue showed up at 2:30 Sunday morning to a boarded-up place at Southeast 28th and Powell. They were greeted with the sight of a building completely engulfed by flames.
They quickly called for assistance – not because they were going to save the building because it was too late for that. They wanted to do their best to contain the fire from spreading too far. Buildings to the south and east were also damaged.
