Stark Street Fire Injures 1, Sends 7 From Their Homes Early Tuesday
Portland Fire & Rescue is trying to figure the cause of the fire early Tuesday on the 12500 block of Southeast Stark Street.

PORTLAND, OR — An early morning fire at an apartment complex on Southeast Stark Street injured one and sent seven people into the streets, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.
Calls to 911 started coming just before 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived at a two-story building on the 12500 block of Southeast Stark and saw smoke coming from an apartment on the first floor.

They were able to out out the fire but in addition to the apartment where the fire was, other units were damaged by water, fire officials said.
The American Red Cross said that they helped seven people find another place to stay.

One person was injured but no details have been provided about the person's injuries.
Investigators are working to figure out what caused the fire.
