WATCH: Damian Lillard's Dismay At Portland Trail Blazers Draft Pick

PORTLAND, OR — Damian Lillard is not amused.

After a lost season in which the Trail Blazers won just 27 games, Portland's superstar point guard represented the team at the annual NBA Draft Lottery.

It was supposed to be a special moment for the Trail Blazers, who have only participated in the Draft Lottery seven times, most recently in 2013. They previously outperformed their lottery odds twice, so the team hoped to do so again this year, entering the lottery with the sixth-best odds to get the No. 1 overall pick.

Alas, that didn't happen. Whether it was the stars failing to align, Mercury being in retrograde, or just plain bad fortune, the team underperformed its odds, instead walking away with the No. 7 overall pick in this year's draft.

And needless to say, Dame was not thrilled. Video showed Lillard immediately rock back and close his eyes in dismay. With a wry smile, he hung his head, chuckled, buried his head into his hand and shook his head, unable to contain his disappointment.

Social media immediately reacted to Lillard's expression, with many NBA fans predictably urging the star to join their favorite team. Others used memes and gifs to share in the moment with Lillard.
