In addition to being chock-full of literature, the festival also has plenty of food trucks to feast from. Local Portland favorites have been mobilized, such as Tamale Boy, Pip's Original Donuts and Bunk Sandwiches.

"For 2016, we have built a book festival for every reader, from comic books to poetry, literary giants to debut writers, science-fiction to young adult, and we've expanded our children's stage and are offering even more family-friendly events. I hope people will come to see their favorite writers discuss their work on stage and discover some thrilling new voices," Amanda Bullock, Festival Director and Director of Public Programs at Literary Arts

You can purchase tickets to Wordstock through the Portland Art Museum. If the going rate is too steep this year, fret not bibliophiles. Sign up to volunteer with Wordstock and grab some community service hours while you're enjoying the festival.
