Abington Cosmetology Students Get Motivated
Eastern cosmetology students hear from industry expert Geno Stampora

On Tuesday, Eastern Center for Arts and Technology cosmetology instructors Wendy Leyden and Amy Mednick accompanied 50 of their junior and senior cosmetology students to see Geno Stampora at neighboring Bucks County Technical High School.
Stampora, an industry expert, is a motivational speaker with the unique ability to ignite passion and inspire the creative juices of beauty professionals around the world.
Stampora began his career working behind the chair in a salon and gradually moved up to manage and finally to own a collection of successful salons. He has also owned two beauty academies, where he interacted with and instructed his students. Stampora has been a distributor and sales consultant to salons, a major platform artist, and has shared the stage with the world’s greatest artists.

“This was a great opportunity for our students to hear from a very successful professional in the field, who started from exactly where they are today – learning all aspects of the field in their cosmetology program and gaining hours in order to take their Pennsylvania State Boards for Cosmetology,” Mednick said.
Eastern’s 2-year half-day cosmetology program provides students with the skills necessary to begin a career in the cosmetology field. In Pennsylvania, as well as other states, cosmetologists and nail technicians must be licensed to practice in the field.
