Abington Township Officials To Host 'Vision 2035' Future Land Use Workshop On Oct. 30

Community members can weigh in on Abington's comprehensive plan, 'Vision 2035,' during a public workshop on Oct. 30.

ABINGTON, PA — Local officials will be hosting a public workshop later this month on a community plan to address future land use opportunities in the township.

The workshop, scheduled to take place on Oct. 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Crestmont Clubhouse at 2595 Rubicam Avenue in Willow Grove, is designed to give members of the public a chance to weigh in on the township's comprehensive plan, known as 'Vision 2035.'

Residents and business owners will be able to share thoughts and opinions during the program of how they feel shopping districts and neighborhood centers should look in Abington by the year 2035.

Folks are being asked what types of businesses, services, homes, parks and other land uses they would like to see within the township down the road.

The workshop is scheduled to take place outside due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and all participants are being asked to wear face coverings.

Vision 2035 is Abington's comprehensive plan, which is a document that helps to guide and shape future initiatives, policies, projects and growth opportunities within the community, according to the township's website, which contains a section on the planning process.
