Abington Police Last Week Chased Carjacking Suspects Through The Willow Grove Mall
The suspects - one adult women and two juvenile males - were arrested after attempting to carjack a driver in the Willow Grove Mall lot.

ABINGTON, PA — Local police last week arrested three individuals who attempted to carjack a driver in the parking lot of the Willow Grove Mall.
Abington police say on Jan. 14 at around 4:23 p.m., an attempted carjacking occurred in the second level parking lot outside the Bloomingdale store at the mall.
The victim had just parked her car, police say, when she was approached by three suspects who dragged her out of her vehicle and threw her to the ground.

As one of the suspects attempted to gain control of the vehicle, the victim got out her cellphone and began to dial 911, at which time she was again assaulted by the other two suspects, according to police.
An Abington Township police officer soon observed the suspects fleeing on foot across the parking lot and into the mall, at which time the officer gave chase and apprehended the suspects on the mall's second level.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the encounter.
The adult suspect was identified as Nisira Wilson, 18, of Philadelphia. The two juveniles, who were sent to the Montgomery County Youth Center, were not named.
Court records show that Wilson was charged with a total of five different robbery felony counts.
Wilson was arraigned on Jan. 15 by Magisterial District Judge Maurice Saylor. She was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of posting bail, records show.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 26.
