Connelly, who is married with three kids, formerly served as a Philadelphia police officer for six years, working out of that department's 14th District.

Carino, too, was previously a Philadelphia police officer, having worked in the city for two years before coming to Abington. She is a U.S. Army veteran and speaks two languages. She also served as a military police officer at Guantanamo Bay.

Rucker, who is a Montgomery County native, worked as a personal trainer and was appointed to attend the Montgomery County Police Academy for what Abington says is an "intense six-month training program."

And Henry, the last of the four new hires, is a Philadelphia native who worked as a police officer in the city for five years before coming to Abington. An interesting tidbit about Henry is that she played professional basketball for three years in Lisbon, Portugal, Prague and the Czech Republic, according to her bio.
