Rollerblading Armed Robber Hits Abington Gas Station

Abington Police said the incident took place Sunday at the Lukoil on Old York Road.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — An armed robber threatened to shoot a gas station employee if he did not get cash from the register, and then he fled on rollerblades, police said.

Abington Police responded at 7:34 p.m. on Sunday to Lukoil at 1945 Old York Road for the report of a just-completed armed robbery.

The suspect, who arrived and departed the store on rollerblades, was armed with a handgun and a knife in the front of his waistband, police said.

He demanded all of the money from the register and threatened to shoot the employee if he did not comply. The suspect was last seen skating south on Old York Road with the money from the register.

The Abington Police Detective Division is investigating this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
