Capricorn Books Celebrating Indie Bookstore Day
The Jenkintown shop will join the national celebration of bookstores on Saturday.

JENKINTOWN, PA — It's a day for bookstores like Record Store Day is for shops that sell music.
This Saturday is Indie Bookstore Day, and Jackie Q. Botto, the owner of Capricorn Books, is ready to go.
The day is a nationwide celebration of independent bookstores and the communities that support them.

Held annually on the last Saturday in April, it’s a day filled with exclusive books and literary items, author events, and local festivities, Botto said.
"It’s a chance to celebrate the unique role independent bookstores play in fostering a love of reading, supporting local authors, and building vibrant neighborhoods," Botto told Patch.

Capricorn Books is located at 605 West Ave., and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Botto said she has plenty of Indie Bookstore Day exclusives available for Saturday.
Those exclusives include:
