Art Center Reception Today

The Cheltenham Center for the Arts will hold a reception Sunday afternoon for its 70^th annual awards show.

The show’s juror is Joan Wadleigh Curran, painter, guest artist and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.

The reception runs from 2 to 4 p.m.; the show runs through May 11 and gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CCA will also host a special fundraising event, Art in Bloom, on April 27 in conjunction with the painting show. The event pairs 20 local floral designers with specific paintings in the exhibit. Each floral artist will be paired with a painting and will then create a unique arrangement as his or her interpretation of the chosen work. The designs will be unveiled and floral prizes awarded on the evening of April 27.
