Officers From Eastern Montco Escort Truck Carrying Tornado Relief Items To Kentucky
The officers escorted the truck through eastern Montco to the entrance of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Willow Grove interchange.

ABINGTON, PA — Local police officers and motorcycle rider volunteers on Tuesday helped to briefly escort a tractor trailer carrying tornado relief materials to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, where it was scheduled to head to Kentucky to help with tornado relief.
Officers with Abington Township, Upper Moreland Township and the Borough of Bryn Athyn joined members of the Southeast Pennsylvania Warriors' Watch Riders to help escort the large truck through neighborhood streets and on to the Willow Grove entrance to the turnpike, according to a post on the Abington Police Department Facebook page.
The truck was carrying an assortment of relief items that will be taken to those in need in Kentucky.

It was nearly two weeks ago that a line of tornadoes carved a path of destruction throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
A Courier Journal article from Monday says that the death toll from the tornadoes now stands at 77. More than 1,000 properties were reported destroyed as a result of the tornadoes.
