Meetings, a Festival and a Pint for a Pint, this Week

The Abington School Board will meet Tuesday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Abington School District Administration Building. The draft agenda will likely be available later today.

The Center School in Abington will hold its International Food Festival and Auction Tuesday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the school.

The event, in its tenth year, raises money for the school’s scholarship fund as well as the school’s PTO. For tickets, call the school at 215-657-2200; click here for more details. The school is located at 2450 Hamilton Ave., Abington.

The Abington Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday, March 14 at 8 p.m. at the township building. Of note, the red light camera ordinance will not be on the agenda.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Glenside will hold its “Give a Pint and Get a Pint Blood Drive” Friday, March 15 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Donate a pint of blood, and receive a coupon for a pint of:

• Homemade soup from Peas in a Pod
• Beer from The Glenside Pub
• Turkey Hill ice cream
• Rita’s water ice.
