Memorial Day Services Planned In Eastern Montco
Memorial Day services will take place Monday in Glenside and Cheltenham Township.
EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Several Memorial Day events are planned in communities in eastern Montgomery County this holiday weekend.
The North Penn VFW in Glenside will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 10:45 a.m. on Monday. Guests will be able to speak with families of World War II veterans and tour the post at 2519 Jenkintown Road.

The American Legion Post #497 will pay tribute to the men and women of the community who answered their country’s call in a brief ceremony starting at the historic Methodist cemetery on Central Avenue in Cheltenham Township.

The 10:30 a.m. Memorial Day ceremony on Monday will last about 15-20 minutes, and proceed down the block to the Veterans Memorial on Tookany Parkway and Central Avenue for another short ceremony to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
