New Playground Unveiled At Abington Township Park

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Rockwell Park has a new playground.

On May 12, township officials celebrated the installation of the new playground at Rockwell Park.

Officials were joined by representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Commissioner Christine Young-Gertz, and township staff to mark the event, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The project was funded through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, which provided $275,000 to replace 20-year-old equipment and create a safe, accessible, and welcoming space for children and families, officials said..

"We hope the community enjoys the new playground for years to come," officials said.
