New Trash Pickup and ‘Into the Woods,’ This Week
Check out a few of the events happening this week in Abington.

Starting Monday, Abington Township will begin a new 5-day-a-week trash pickup program. Under the new plan, residents will have trash, paper, recyclables and yard waste picked up on the same day — their neighborhood’s designated trash day. Click here for more information.

Arcadia University will hold its community flea market on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at parking lot 12 off of Church Road. A two-parking-space rental can be had for $20. Proceeds will benefit student-run community service projects.

Saint Basil Academy will perform its annual production, "Into the Woods" on Friday, April 19; Saturday, April 20; and Sunday, April 21. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 7 p.m.; the Sunday show starts at 2 p.m. Ticket are $10; tickets for children under 12 and for senior citizens are $8. Saint Basil Academy is located at 711 Fox Chase Road.
