Abington Township Is Making A SPlash. Find Out Why.
Abington Township started the "unofficial" summer season by making a splash with pool openings and the start of miniature golf.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The "unofficial" summer season is underway, and the township is making a splash.
Township pools are open on weekends, along with miniature golf. And there's pick-up pickleball too.
Township officials said that mini golf at Alverthorpe Park is now open on weekends, with daily use starting on June 16.

The 18-hole miniature golf course is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for township residents and their guests. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
The cost is $4 per person.

Meanwhile, township pools are also open on weekends. Daily use starts on June 21. The pools will remain open through Labor Day, Sept. 1.
The daily hours of operation are as follows:
- May 24-26, May 31-June 1, June 7-8, June 14-15 — Noon to 7 p.m.
- June 21 to Aug. 17 — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Aug. 18 to Aug. 31 — 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sept. 1 — 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please note, the Alverthorpe wading pool opens on June 21, 2025. The hours of operation are from 11 AM to 5 PM daily.
Pick-up pickleball is also a popular activity in the township.
Beginners to advanced players can stop by Alverthorpe Park on Tuesday mornings. This is a resident only program; please have proof of residency when entering the park.
