Sixers Reportedly Don't Can Abington Alum Aron
A Philadelphia 76ers spokesman said despite reports, the team has not fired CEO Adam Aron, who has ties to the area.

Reports that the Philadelphia 76ers fired its CEO were just that.
According to a Philly.com story, 76ers spokesman Michael Preston said yesterday that team CEO Adam Aron had not been fired, despite several reports. It went on to say that Aron was out of the country yesterday.

Aron, an Abington Senior High School Alumnus, Class of 1972, was named the Sixers’ CEO in October 2011, according to NBA.com. He was inducted into the Abington High School Hall of Fame in 1992.
Aron, a partial owner of the team, has had a strong presence on the social media platform Twitter, but has been criticized for being too vocal in sending Tweets regarding the team’s performance.
